Marseille end a four-match losing run, winning 2-0 at Troyes
Amine Harit scored on 50 minutes and Himad Abdelli added a stoppage-time penalty as Marseille beat Troyes 2-0 at the Stade de l'Aube, their first win since matchday 1, with both of their shots on target ending in goals.
Marseille finally stopped the bleeding. Amine Harit scored on 50 minutes, set up by Emerson, and Himad Abdelli converted a penalty in the eighth minute of stoppage time to make it 2-0 at Troyes, Marseille's first victory since the opening weekend of the season and the end of a run of four straight league defeats.

Two shots on target, two goals
The two shots on target were the whole of Marseille's attack on the scoresheet: both went in, while Troyes put three on target and had Jeffrey de Lange save all of them. The expected-goals figures, 1.26 to 1.14, say the match was far tighter than the 2-0, and Marseille's second goal came from a penalty so late that it settled nothing but the score.

Marseille's season in reverse
| Opponent | Competition | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Strasbourg | Ligue 1 | W 4-0 |
| Monaco | Ligue 1 | L 0-2 |
| Paris FC | Ligue 1 | L 2-3 |
| Rennes | Ligue 1 | L 0-1 |
| PSG | Ligue 1 | L 1-2 |
| Troyes | Ligue 1 | W 2-0 |
That stretch of four defeats in a row, against Monaco, Paris FC, Rennes and PSG, had undone all the good work of an opening-day thrashing of Strasbourg. Troyes arrived in similarly poor form, without a win in three, so the trip to the Stade de l'Aube was as close to a must-win as either side had faced this season. It was Marseille who found it.
What the result changes
The win takes Marseille to 13th with 6 points from six matches, two wins and four defeats. Troyes stay on 4 points and are 17th, above only Le Havre, after a fourth defeat in their last five league games.
Corrections
- October 12, 2026: The earlier version named Marseille's and Troyes's next opponents and gave Marseille's position before the match, neither of which we could confirm, and both have been removed. The scorers, line-ups and statistics were also missing and have been added.
