Strasbourg 1-1 Monaco: Paris Brunner's long-range strike ends the leaders' perfect start

Monaco's perfect start to the season lasted three matchdays. The league leaders, stopped for the first time

Monaco had won all three of their opening matches — 1-0 at Le Havre, 2-0 at home to Marseille, then a 1-2 win at PSG's Parc des Princes — conceding only once along the way. That run made them the only side in Ligue 1 with a maximum nine points before this weekend, top of the table by two clear points. Strasbourg had lost their opening game 0-4 at Marseille before winning their next two — 2-1 over Lens and 6-2 over Troyes — and taking a point off the league's only unbeaten side continues that recovery. Even conceding an equaliser to a moment of individual quality from Brunner, this was a result they can be pleased with against a side that had not dropped a single point all season.
