Álex Baena scores twice in 33 minutes as Atlético Madrid win 3-1 at Sevilla
Álex Baena struck on 4 and 33, Ademola Lookman in between, and Atlético Madrid were three up by the half-hour. Miguel Sierra's volley pulled one back but Sevilla lost 3-1 at home.
Atlético Madrid had drawn one and won one. At the Sánchez-Pizjuán they were 3-0 up inside 33 minutes and coasting.
Álex Baena opened the scoring in the fourth minute and added a second on 33, with Ademola Lookman finishing off a Pablo Barrios pass in between. It was Baena's first brace since 2023.
Sevilla's reply comes too late
Miguel Sierra volleyed Sevilla back into it on 66. It stayed at 3-1. Sevilla had 20 shots to Atlético's 12 but little accuracy behind them, and 20 fouls to go with two bookings.
