PSG win Le Classique 1-2 as ten-man Marseille slide into the relegation zone

Le Classique turned on eight frantic minutes. PSG had spent most of the night at the Vélodrome without breaking Marseille down, and then, with the match seemingly drifting toward a goalless stalemate, it came apart at once. Ferran Torres headed PSG ahead at 66', Angel Gomes levelled it for Marseille six minutes later, and Marquinhos restored the lead for good at 74' — three goals in eight minutes settling a game that had offered almost nothing before them.

Both scorers had started the match on the bench. Torres came on for PSG and needed only one meaningful chance; Gomes did the same for Marseille and briefly gave the hosts hope of salvaging a point at home to the champions. It did not last. Two wins in a row is their best sequence of the season so far, and it has come at the ground where the champions have historically struggled most.
