Lazio did not need much at the Stadio Olimpico. One Davide Frattesi finish on 25 minutes, and a back line that has not conceded in two games.
It was not comfortable late on. A Lazio substitute struck the outside of a post on 88 minutes, and in the 94th Morten Frendrup's header forced a fingertip save from Christos Mandas. The final whistle brought some pushing and shoving but no change to the score.
Two games, two 1-0 wins, no goals conceded
Genoa had more of the ball — 54% — but only one shot on target. Lazio created the clearer chances and carried the higher expected goals. They started the season with a 1-0 win at Bologna; this was the same scoreline again.
