Fiorentina's centenary night ends 0-3: Raimondo's double and a Bracaglia header for Frosinone
On the day Fiorentina marked 100 years, promoted Frosinone won 3-0 at the Franchi. Antonio Raimondo scored twice, Gabriele Bracaglia headed the other, and the Viola have lost both games without scoring.
Fiorentina picked the wrong day to fall apart. Their centenary celebration at the Franchi turned into a 3-0 home defeat to a Frosinone side that had just come up from Serie B.
Antonio Raimondo opened the scoring on 26 minutes, prodding home from close range after Giorgi Kvernadze dug out a cutback from the byline. The hosts hit the woodwork twice in quick reply. Then Gabriele Bracaglia headed in a corner on 38, and Raimondo added a spectacular half-volley on 68 to finish it.
Unlucky, but well beaten
Fiorentina had 60% of the ball and 25 shots, and lost by three. Frosinone needed 12 shots and put six of them on target. It is a first win and first points for the promoted side, and a second straight loss without a goal for Fiorentina, who shipped four at Roma on the opening weekend.
