Brazil national team: the 26 names that could wear the yellow shirt in 2026
Based on their form in qualifying and friendlies, we project Brazil's squad for the 2026 World Cup.
With just a few weeks to go until the official announcement, Brazil's head coach has a puzzle on his hands: choosing the 26 players to represent the country at the first 48-team World Cup.
Goalkeepers
Alisson remains the undisputed number one. Ederson and Bento are competing for the other two spots, with a slight edge for the Manchester City keeper.
Defense
Marquinhos leads the back line alongside Gabriel Magalhães. At full-back, Danilo, Vanderson, Wendell and Abner look like locks.
Midfield and attack
Bruno Guimarães and André form the holding-midfield pair alongside Casemiro. Up front, Vinicius Júnior, Rodrygo, Raphinha and Endrick are nailed on — and the race for the remaining spot involves Estêvão and Gabriel Martinelli.
- Goalkeepers: Alisson, Ederson, Bento
- Center-backs: Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães, Éder Militão, Bremer
- Full-backs: Danilo, Vanderson, Wendell, Abner
- Midfielders: Casemiro, Bruno Guimarães, André, Lucas Paquetá, João Gomes
