Aspas scores, Marcos Alonso is sent off, and Osasuna turn Balaídos around in ten minutes

Celta led from the 14th minute with almost nothing behind it — four shots all night. A red card on 51 changed the game, and Osasuna scored twice before the hour was out.

This was the last of the four postponed matchday-1 fixtures, played nearly two weeks after the rest of the round. Iago Aspas gave the 20,645 at Balaídos a reason to think it would be worth the wait, scoring on 14 minutes.

Celta then took three more shots in the remaining 76 minutes.

The sending-off, and then the turnaround

Marcos Alonso was shown a red card on 51 minutes, the organiser's account recording it as a VAR upgrade. Kike Barja equalised three minutes later, and Ante Budimir put Osasuna ahead from the penalty spot on 64.

The expected goals are among the most lopsided of the season so far: 2.68 for Osasuna, 0.13 for Celta. Celta had one attempt inside the box in the whole match and won the ball back 44 times; Osasuna had eight attempts inside it and 13 shots to Celta's four.
